Project Overview
Welcome to our Little Island AR Project! Our aim is to overcome challenges faced by Little Island, like outdated performance info, unpredictable weather, and limited souvenirs. We're crafting an AR app with features to relive past performances, effortlessly book upcoming events, and take home personalized AR keepsakes, making each visit a unique and hassle-free experience. Join us in transforming Little Island into an even more enchanting destination!
Goal
Create an engaging augmented reality (AR) application for Little Island to enhance visitor experiences through features like viewing previous performances, booking upcoming events, and enjoying a unique AR souvenir experience.
Objectives
Reliving Past Performances: Develop a platform within the AR app for users to access and enjoy recordings or highlights of previous shows, allowing them to relive memorable moments.
Effortless Booking: Enable users to easily browse and book tickets for upcoming performances at the amphitheater, ensuring a streamlined and accessible reservation process.
Innovative AR Souvenirs: Integrate an AR souvenir feature, allowing visitors to virtually take home personalized keepsakes, capturing the essence and memories of their time at the park.

AR Audio Tour
The Little Island App Prototype is designed with essential features to enhance user experience. It includes Souvenir Object Recognition for interacting with New York souvenirs, Camera Integration for capturing souvenir objects, and Zip Code Input for location-specific information. Users can interact with buildings on the souvenir through Interactive Building Touch, and the app calculates and displays distances to selected attractions. Transportation modes, Google Maps Integration, ticket pricing details, a user-friendly interface, and compatibility with both iOS and Android platforms ensure a seamless experience. Additionally, Database Integration provides relevant information about attractions.

Performances
For the Little Island App Prototype, we needed essential features like seamless Augmented Reality (AR) integration for user interaction using their device's camera. The User Interface (UI) design ensured easy navigation, scrolling through artists, and booking upcoming shows. Realistic Projection-Mapping provided an immersive experience, even without live events. The prototype demonstrated app functionality, supporting AR scanning, showing event details, enabling artist scrolling, and allowing direct booking. It's compatible with smartphones or tablets for AR scanning, and basic functionality testing ensured accurate content recognition, smooth scrolling, and realistic projection-mapping.
Home Experience
We used a laser cutter, holographic film, and acrylic sheets to create a visually appealing gift box. Glued the holographic film and acrylic together, and cut them with scissors at a 45-degree angle. A ruler and measuring tape helped ensure the right size, and we wore gloves and protective eyewear for safety. These tools and materials combine to craft a unique and eye-catching gift box for the app prototype.
